About This Game

This is a animal survival game in the tropical African rain forests and grasslands.

What do you do in the game?

Explore Rain-forests, grasslands and mountain ranges. Role play as a wild silver-back Gorilla separated from his troop. You must survive the harsh environment finding food, water and shelter.

The ultimate goal is to be reunited with your troop, then protect them against predators and the environment. Can you regain their bonding after the separation? As the alpha male only you can keep the troop together and have the right to mate with the females to produce offspring. If bonding is not high this will not occur, and can even lead to challenges from rival males for troop leader status.

As food resources dwindle, you must lead your troop to new areas while keeping them safe.

How long can you survive?

The game is an indie experience from a small team with a focus on the environment and wildlife. We want to give you a true feeling of this amazing, vastly unexplored area of our planet.

  A couple things that i'd like to see worked on is turning left to right, it is very slow and almost frustrating when in the all 4 position, and maybe, and the sounds and soundtrack, these are all minimal things, and also maybe like an opening of what happened to your troop of gorillas and where to start looking for them.
  
  The Idea of surviving as a gorilla is awesome, but this is very early access so if you're not willing to give feedback for the devs to work with i wouldnt buy it just yet.. \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665 you.   it realy need alot before it even are possible to play for real . It is more testing right now and help the developer with feedback.
  
  
  you cant even run around for 5 min before you run out of food(now fixed).
  
  It is almost impossible to turn around when you close to run out of food . When you finaly find a banan or coconuts on the ground . You cant eat it because you cant press "y" because it stand as gamepad option (now fixed).
  
  This game need alot of fixed and features , maybe some rework in grafic .
  
  But I always wanted to play a game where you are a animal trying surviving in a real simulator .
  
  Right now you can walk though trees and lot of the layout on the ground , there are not much sound in the game , the way the gorilla move and how smooth it feel is realy bad .

  . Latest Update Live:
  Hi all, We are back with a working updatable game!
  
  The first of the 3-4 updates rewriting the Gorilla AI and social interactions are live. It is now much clearer the effect on the female gorillas of achieving tasks like feeding, making a nest, achieving loyalty.
  
  A couple of important bug fixes have also been added. Branches for making nests were occasionally disappearing under the terrain, this should no longer happen making it much easier to find branches to build nests.
  rescaled the minimap so it is less cluttered and easier to see items close by.
  Added nest icon (home) so no longer need the smoke signal on nests.
  
  A couple of nice improvements along with the fixes:-
  
  The terrain is now twice the Size at 4 square kilometres.
  Certain errors that have fixed have resulted in a huge increase in frame rate along with denser vegetation. My test machine now runs at an average of 90fps from 60fps
  
  Couple of ideas I am testing:-
  Adding icons to make even clearer regarding the troop needs.
  Adding a sense button which will then add an outline to items of interest within a radius. Potentially, animals, food, branches, nests. to help locate them.
  
  Adding a call button to any nearby female gorillas.
  
  There is still more progress to be made in regard to player feedback and more interactions. The infant gorillas have a lot more work to be done once you have gotten to the mating stage and they will be the focus of the last AI update once the female Gorillas are finished.

  A small update has been released adding a few more varieties of ferns to the rain forest biomes.
  
  We have also added an action for the rival male gorillas. They can now steal your food. More actions for all the gorillas are being later in the week.

  Good evening all, The latest update adds a minmap radar system to the HUD. Some players have been having issues with the difficulty level so this feature should help.
  
  Currently it only detects Female Gorillas. We can easily add predaotrs/rivals or in fact all the animals if this is reuired. I will test adding to all food and thes nests too.

  The first AI/social interactions update was posted last night but I had to take it down temporarilybecause of a compatibility issue with the package. I am working on the patch now and hope to get that update out today or as soon as the issue is addressed.
